The Field Comprehensive Observation and Experiment Base for Cloud and Precipitation Physics in the Eastern Tianshan Mountains is located on the northern slope of the Eastern Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang (at an altitude of about 2000 meters). It is a comprehensive platform dedicated to the research of cloud and precipitation physical processes. It is equipped with advanced equipment such as millimeter - wave cloud radar, microwave radiometer, laser disdrometer, X - band weather radar, and wind profiler radar. These are used to reveal the microphysical characteristics of orographic cloud precipitation in the Tianshan Mountains and improve the numerical model parameterization schemes. At the same time, it studies the key technical indicators of weather modification. The base supports water resource regulation, oasis agricultural development, and disaster prevention in Xinjiang through weather modification technology.
