WANG Minzhong, Ph.D., Research Professor. Part-time Master Supervisor at Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences and Xinjiang Normal University. Recipient of Xinjiang Outstanding Youth Science Fund, Standing Council Member of Xinjiang Geographical Society, Peer Review Expert for National Natural Science Foundation of China. Specialized in desert meteorology research. Hosted over 10 projects including NSFC and China Postdoctoral Science Fund. Published 30+ first/corresponding-author papers in journals like JGR-Atmospheres. Holds 1 national invention patent. Awards include: First and Third Prizes of Xinjiang Sci-Tech Progress, Xie Yibing Youth Meteorological Science Award (Peking University), Second Prize of Xinjiang Outstanding Natural Science Paper, CMA Youth Talent, Tianshan Talent of Xinjiang, National Top Ten Outstanding Young Meteorological Science Worker.

Zhang Ruibo
Researcher
As Professor of Climate Sciences, Institute of Desert Meteorology, China Meteorological Administration (CMA) in 2019. He is the Director of Xinjiang Key Laboratory of Tree-Ring Ecology. Ruibo focus on climatic variability and eco-environmental changes in arid Asia and Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. His study involves climate change, dendroclimatology, dendrohydrology, dendroglaciology, forest meteorology, forest carbon sink and climate model. He was Editorial Board Member of ‘forest’ and ‘Desert and oasis meteorology’ journal. He was also appointed as council of China Association for Scientific Exploration, standing council of the Professional Committee of Forestry Meteorology, the Forestry Society of China and council of tree-ring Research Branch, the Geographical Society of China. He is a reviewer for more than 30 international journals, including Nature.

Liu Xinchun

Liu Xinchun, male, Han nationality, CPC member, born in 1977, Master of Engineering, researcher, master tutor of Xinjiang University. He is the director of the office, in charge of the office work of the Desert Institute, and in charge of the personnel and financial work. He is mainly engaged in atmospheric aerosol observation research, detection technology and system development. 近年来，主持各类项目26项，其中国家面上基金1 项，自治区面上基金2 项；自治区优秀青年科技人才项目1项，其他省部级5项，厅局级6项，横向项目 7 项，改善科研条件专项 4 项。作为骨干参加国家基金等国家级项目7项、省部级7项。在本领域学术期刊发表第一（通讯）作者论文59篇（其中第一作者47篇（第一作者SCI 5篇），通讯作者SCI/EI 7篇）；参与专著1部, 完成报告4篇，规划5种；获专利13项（8项列1）、软著11件（列1）。获自治区科技进步三等奖（列5）、中国环境学会年会优秀论文一等和三等奖（列1）等省部级奖励5项并入选2020年新疆天山青年计划及2020年新疆气象局高层次科技创新人才。

Li Hongjun, research fellow, Ph.D., graduated from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology in 2012, majoring in Climate System and Globalization, is now mainly engaged in the research of climate and change in arid zones, the causes of sand and dust and gale, and disaster defense. He has presided over 2 national fund project, and authored 10 papers (including 2 SCI papers), has been awarded the Prize for Science and Technology Progress of Xinjiang Autonomous Region twice.
