Introduction:Zeng Yong, born in May 1990, is an associate researcher at the Urumqi Desert Meteorological Research Institute of the China Meteorological Administration and a master's degree supervisor at the China Meteorological Science Academy. His research is focused on the observation and study of the mechanisms underlying the formation and development of cloud-precipitation physics, cloud water resources, and high-impact weather processes. He was subsequently promoted to the roles of Assistant Researcher and Associate Researcher, a testament to his exceptional merit. He has been selected as a "Young Core Talent" by the Xinjiang Meteorological Bureau (2019), a "Tianshan Talent" by the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (2021), a "Young Meteorological Talent" by the China Meteorological Administration (2023), and a "Tianshan Talent—Young Elite Talent" by the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (2025). He has been honored with the Second Prize of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Science and Technology Progress Award (2022) and the Second Prize of the Meteorological Science and Technology Innovation Award of the China Meteorological Service Association (2024). He has led nine research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, sub-projects of the National Key Research and Development Program, the Tianshan Talents Project of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and the Natural Science Foundation of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Additionally, he has been a key participant in six national and provincial-level projects. He has published 23 papers as the first author (13 SCI papers and 10 Chinese core papers), two papers as the corresponding author, 22 co-authored papers, and two co-authored monographs (ranked 2nd and 6th).
